The
Fulbright Educational Advising Center of the Cyprus Fulbright Commission belongs to a network of
Educational Advising centers affiliated with the U.S. Department of
State's Bureau of Educational and
Cultural Affairs. Our Educational Advisers are trained in
providing free, accurate, and unbiased information
about the full range of accredited U.S. higher education institutions. Advisers
at the Fulbright Commission are dedicated to helping students find the
right institution of higher education by taking a student-centered
approach. This means when advising students, our advisers put the
needs of the student first, taking into consideration a student's
academic goals as well as other more personal preferences to help find
the right place for the student to study.
The advantages of studying in the US are numerous: the superior
quality of facilities, resources, faculty; the vast choice of
institutions, academic and social environments, and programs to choose from;
and, the tremendous flexibility of the system.
Students who would like more information on studies in the US should
attend one of our free information
sessions which will provides guidance in their search for colleges or
universities in the US. The sessions cover topics including: the
structure of the US higher education system, selecting the right
institution, accreditation, admission requirements, the application
process, costs, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, obtaining a
student visa, preparing for arrival in the US.
