The Fulbright Commission will be accepting applications for scholarships that may be offered under the Cyprus-America Scholarship Program (CASP) for undergraduate and the Traditional Fulbright Scholarship Program for graduate studies at American universities beginning in the fall of 2009 between mid-May and August 1, 2008. In memory of Evie Sofianou, two awards under CASP will be given to two distinguished grantees and will carry increased benefits. In addition, under the Terms and Conditions of the Traditional Fulbright Scholarship Program, one scholar will be nominated as the Fulbright-Universal Life scholar. All the awards offered are subject to availability of funds. Both Scholarship Programs (CASP and Traditional Fulbright) competition will be open to all fields, except Medicine and Dentistry. Awards are not offered for PhD degrees. The Traditional Fulbright Program is funded by the peoples of Cyprus and the United States through governmental contributions. The Cyprus-America Scholarship Program (CASP) is funded by the people of the United States of America through the U.S. Embassy and the Office of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State. The program is administered in Cyprus by the Fulbright Commission.
