RESEARCH TO FIND UNIVERSITIES

There are over 1,700 colleges and universities in the U.S. offering graduate degrees, therefore, researching to find the right one may be overwhelming.  Students who attend our 1.5 hour information session will find the process much simpler than those searching without the information provided at the workshop.

An excellent resource to use in your search is the Education USA website.  Once you are on the website go to the link:

Find a School  ®  Graduate  ®  Program Search

The system will ask you to consider various factors that may be important to you and based on the information you enter it will come up with a list of schools.  Make sure that if you use this resource that you check with a Fulbright Adviser whether the schools on your list are all accredited before applying.

If you are interested in obtaining a research or teaching assistantship it is advisable that you research the institution's website carefully to read about such opportunities.  Once you have done all the reading, if you have questions it is a good time to contact faculty involved with the research or teaching opportunity to ask questions.  This networking may prove to be helpful when the time comes for you to submit your application. More information about funding will be offered during the Information Sessions offered at the Fulbright Commission every two weeks.
